Shelly Storm
Kelly teaches yoga with creativity and the belief that movement can help us come home to ourselves. Drawing from Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, and her background in the arts, she creates classes that invite students to slow down, explore, and move with intention. As a Master's Art Therapy student, Kelly prioritizes the bottom-up healing nature of yoga in her Vinyasa and Yin classes. Her hope is that everyone leaves feeling a little more grounded than when they arrived.
To me, yoga is Life; the breath that moves through all things. It’s the frequency I show up in, the stillness of my mind, and the connection between myself and this planet. It’s authenticity, transparency, love; the movement and transformation that can connect us deeper to our intrinsic selves.
I first came to yoga as a teenager through sports. Moving mindfully opened something new in me, a deep sense of peace and trust in both body and mind. My mat quickly became my home; a place where I could get to know myself more deeply and begin to understand that strength and softness are not opposites. This practice continues to shape how I move through my life every day.
I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Seattle in 2016, followed by a 40-hour advanced training, as well as a health coaching certification in 2020. I am forever a student—continually studying, practicing, and inspired by teachers past and present. I currently offer “The Practice” online via my Patreon, where I’m devoted to cultivating a yoga practice that feels thoughtful and inclusive for my community.
Yoga continues to evolve me, turning me inward, grounding me in humility, and deepening my devotion to this sacred path. My classes are intentionally and methodically sequenced to help you feel both energized and grounded at the same time, often unfolding with a rhythm that feels like a dance.
Beyond the studio, I’m most connected when immersed in nature, walking barefoot in the grass, hiking with my dog, or simply admiring the mountains. The more peace we create within ourselves, the more we can offer it to the world. This is the best reminder that love is the bridge between you and everything.
