Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
-
We recommend arriving 15 minutes before class to allow time to settle in and transition into your practice.
Please note: to maintain a calm, uninterrupted experience for everyone, entry into the studio will not be permitted once class has begun.
-
Personal belongings can be stored in our designated locker and cubby space. We keep the practice space uncluttered so you can fully drop into your experience.
-
We recommend wearing comfortable, loose fit clothing you can move and breathe in. Most people choose leggings or athletic pants with a fitted or loose top. Shoes aren’t needed as classes are practiced barefoot or in socks.
-
Just yourself.
Your mat and props are prepared in advance so you can arrive and settle in with ease. If you prefer to practice on your own mat, you’re welcome to bring it. We recommend a water bottle, though bottled water is available during your visit.

About the Studio
-
Absolutely. Kora is designed to feel welcoming, grounded, and approachable. Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning to a familiar practice. Teachers offer clear guidance, options, and space to move at your own pace. We also encourage students to explore a few different classes, as teaching styles can vary and each offers something unique.
A gentle reminder: yoga is not a performance. While poses are a foundational part of the practice, true yoga isn’t something you see, it’s something you feel.
-
Class styles vary by teacher and type. However, classes typically include mindful movement, breathwork, and moments of stillness. You’ll move through poses designed to build strength, mobility, and ease with the intention of leaving calmer, more grounded, and refreshed.
-
Membership changes or cancellations must be submitted at least 14 days prior to your next billing cycle.
Requests can be made by emailing us at info@thekoraco.com or or by submitting a message through our Contact page.
We’re always happy to help if you have questions about your membership.
-
What is your class cancellation and no-show policy?
Because class sizes are intentionally small and mats are thoughtfully reserved, we ask for advance notice if your plans change.
Class reservations must be canceled at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time.
Late cancellations incur a $12 fee.
No-shows incur a $15 fee.
Drop-ins and class pack reservations result in loss of class credit if canceled late or missed.
This helps us maintain a seamless experience for the community and ensures class availability is respected.
