Julia came to yoga through quiet meditation practice. She views both meditation and yoga as profound acts of self-inquiry, and tools for finding community, mind-body connection, deep rest, and FUN.

As a teacher, she loves watching students melt into restful postures, sweat through challenging sequences, and laugh when they fall. Her approach to teaching is gentle and encouraging, and she hopes that students feel a sense of "being alone together" in her classes such that they can explore their own minds and bodies while in community.

Outside of the studio, Julia loves to run, read, cook, travel to bustling cities, and spend as much time as possible in and near water. She has a sweet tooth, loves black coffee, and loves indie music. Expect some Radiohead.
